Israeli Air Raids Claim Two Lives in Lebanon
According to local media, one strike hit a vehicle in Deir Kifa village near Tyre, while the second targeted a motorcycle in Bayt Lif village within Bint Jbeil district.
A Lebanese security official told media the Deir Kifa victim was Ali Haidar, a Hezbollah military wing member, while the fatality in Bayt Lif was identified as Hadi Ramah Mustafa.
In a related development, media reported that an Israeli drone dropped an incendiary device on a wooded area in Shihin village, Tyre, igniting fires across trees and olive groves. Firefighters and civil defense units, backed by the Lebanese Army, were deployed to contain the blaze.
Furthermore, Israeli forces have been intensifying and reinforcing a recently established military position on Hamams Hill, situated opposite the Lebanese village of Adaisseh in the south, media added.
These attacks occurred despite a ceasefire brokered by the United States and France that has been in place since November 27, 2024, intended to halt over a year of cross-border conflict sparked by the Gaza war.
Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli military continues sporadic strikes in Lebanon, which it justifies as measures to neutralize "Hezbollah threats."
