Iran Reports 1,060 Fatalities from Israeli Strikes

(MENAFN) The number of fatalities from Israeli airstrikes on Iran between June 13 and June 24 has climbed to 1,060, according to Saeed Ohadi, head of Iran's Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs.

Speaking in a televised appearance on Iranian TV, Ohadi cautioned that the toll could continue to rise due to the large number of critically wounded victims and bodies that remain unidentified.

The Israeli military launched extensive aerial assaults starting June 13, focusing on nuclear facilities and military targets throughout Iran. Iranian officials report that the strikes killed high-ranking military officers, nuclear scientists, and civilians, while also leaving many injured.

In response, Iran carried out several retaliatory barrages of missile and drone attacks aimed at Israeli territory, resulting in both casualties and structural damage.

After nearly two weeks of escalating violence, the two nations agreed to a ceasefire on June 24, halting the 12-day conflict.
