The remarks follow diplomatic contacts involving Pakistan, which has been acting as a mediator in discussions between Tehran and Washington aimed at de-escalating regional tensions.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reportedly spoke with the Iranian ambassador after returning from talks in Tehran, congratulating him on what he described as progress in negotiations with Iranian officials.
Naqvi also reiterated hopes that Pakistan’s mediation efforts would contribute to a durable peace in the region and help stabilize ongoing tensions.
